Do you need dentures, or find yourself frustrated with the dentures that you already wear? Implant supported dentures, or “All on 4” dentures are a wonderful alternative to the traditional, acrylic dentures worn by many adults. They’re a no-nonsense, permanent alternative that you’ll love!
What Do Implant Supported Dentures Look Like?
They look just like real teeth! An implant-supported denture made at Back Bay Dental Care does not cover the roof of your mouth like traditional dentures. Instead, they are “U” shaped and follow along the natural arch of your teeth. This makes them much easier to speak with as well as enjoy your food. No bulky acrylic pieces get in the way, giving you the freedom you had before.
How Do They Work?
An implant-retained denture is permanently anchored onto 4 or more implant roots that are placed into your mouth. These roots act just like natural teeth, but are so strong that they can support an entire denture. The denture does not come out at night, giving you a permanent tooth replacement option unlike any other!
I’m Ready – What’s Next?
You’ll need to schedule a visit at Back Bay Dental Care for us to perform a thorough examination to determine whether or not you’re a candidate for implants. Most of the time we will need to take an X-ray or 3D image to check your bone levels, and also review your health history. Once that’s completed, you can schedule your treatment to begin! At your initial consultation we’ll create a customized care plan so that you can know what every phase of treatment will bring before it’s even started.
If you have any questions about Implant Dentures, please don’t hesitate to give us a call! We look forward to hearing from you.
